SET DESIGN

Pre-production work includes drafting scenic plans, creating 3D models and concept decks, researching architectural styles, and collaborating closely with the Production Designer to ensure visual cohesion.

Skilled in generating scaled construction drawings, technical elevations, and material references to guide build teams and scenic departments from concept through final execution.

Experienced in adapting designs for locations, stage builds, and hybrid environments—considering structural integrity, camera movement, and lighting design.

PROP FABRICATION

Skilled at interpreting scripts and collaborating with directors, production designers, and set decorators to determine all prop requirements

Passion for researching, sourcing, fabricating, and modifying props to align with the production’s aesthetic, period, and story needs

Creation and maintenance of detailed prop lists, breakdowns, and continuity documentation for each scene

Makes sure props are prepared, placed, and maintained for each setup, and collaborated with actors for proper use on camera

Able to manage the prop budget, including purchases, rentals, and returns, while tracking costs and staying within financial constraints

Experience using laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl printers, UV ink printers, and woodworking tools
